I’ll keep adding to this post with other books of interest
Writing poems is a go-to for me so when I went vegan this was my way of exploring. I soon had about ten passable poems so set myself a challenge to get one of them published. Not as big a challenge as you’d think. I discovered there is a real shortage of vegan poems. It’s a niche no one is filling much. My google search threw up Benjamin Zephaniah’s LITTLE BOOK OF VEGAN POEMS, and that was it. It’s quite hard to write a vegan poem that isn’t too finger-wagging to stomach. I keep working on it. Anyway, mission accomplished. My little poem HUSH was accepted so I didn’t bother with formal submissions anymore. Here it is - the one that got through.
Hush - So Fasrus
it’s the sole poem on the last page of this book of essays. The poem’s illustrated by me as well.
